So I won’t be reading the bear book. Living and recreating where we do it’s all too familiar. I even list a friend to an attack. Too traumatic for me. I still coexist with bears and have no fear of black bears. It’s the grizzlies you have to really avoid or give wide berth. But the FLDS books sound fascinating as well as tragic. I heard there was a good documentary on it but on a paid subscriber service we do not have. I will have to look for it again though. As usual, a great read Vic. And good on you for protesting. 👏🏻

I’m so sorry you lost a friend to a bear attack. Avoid and give wide berth is a good policy.

The documentary on the FLDS is really good—maybe watch it at a friend’s house! And the books are so engaging—you are rooting for the escapes!

Thanks for the support!❤️

Opps, I see my typing came out “list” instead of “lost”.

Thank you. It was traumatic to imagine what she had suffered. Thank you again for the recommendations.

Good luck with your book! 📕 🩷

The Safekeep sounds really interesting. I just put it on my library list. Thanks for the recommendation!

The topic is important—it makes the reader think about how we, today, pretend about what is going on in the world, refusing to see the reality in front of us.

I was wondering the other day if you are going to make recommendations of books to gift to people in our lives who play D & D and often act as the DM. Yes, that is something a nonplayer like me would like to get my player son. 🤣 Pretty specific hope for for a post, I know!
